Job Title: Academic Assistant
Reports to: Manager - Dean’s Office/Coordinator of Medical Education
Assist the faculty members in implementing the team-based learning (TBL) model bridging the gap between students and faculty, enhancing the overall educational experience through dedicated instructional support, administrative assistance, and engagement in professional development activities.
Team-Based Learning (TBL) Support:
Facilitation: Assist in the organization and facilitation of TBL sessions
Assessments: Oversee the daily implementation of Individual Readiness Assurance Test (IRAT)
Group Management: Support the formation and management of student team
Content Delivery: Aid faculty in delivering content through TBL
Academic Support:
Presentations: Assist in the creation of lectures and presentations, utilizing various multimedia tools
Assessment Preparation & Execution: Help develop and correct assessments, including quizzes, tests, and practical exams
Grading: Assist in the grading process, ensuring consistency and provide feedback to students on their performance
Administrative Duties:
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and grades.
Resource Management: Ensure that all teaching materials and resources are up-to-date and available
Other administrative tasks: Scheduling exams and proctoring, etc..
Education:
Bachelor's degree from a reputable university.
Fluent in Arabic and English. French is a plus.
Skills:
Strong leadership,
Proficiency in using educational technology and LMS systems and Microsoft office.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
